With CRS scores of 350 Alberta issued 150 invitations for Express Entry candidates.

Alberta issued 150 NOIs (Notifications of Interest), to candidates in the federal Express Entry Pool. Candidates who got NOIs with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores as low as 350.The Alberta Express Entry Program allows the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) to select eligible candidates with a profile in the federal Express Entry program.

The cut-off score of 350 in this most recent invitation round is altogether lower than the cut-off scores for draws directed through the Express Entry program For instance, in the present Express Entry draw competitors required a CRS score of in any event 471 so as to get an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

While a job offer or previous work in Alberta is not required to be eligible for this draw, the AINP says it may give priority to candidates with:

  • a job offer and/or work experience in Alberta;
  • a degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution and a valid job offer;
  • a parent, child or sibling already living in Alberta.

How the AINP [Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program] selects Express Entry Candidates?

Express Entry candidates who receive an invitation or ITA letter from the AINP can submit an application for a provincial nomination under the Alberta Express Entry Program.

Basic Requirements of AINP for the Candidates may receive an ITA [Invitation to Apply]

  • Have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to Alberta;
  • Are working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economic development and diversification;

In addition, the AINP is more likely to select candidates with one or more adaptability factors. The candidate must:

  2. Be a graduate of an Alberta post-secondary institution with a valid Alberta job offer; and/or
